Virgen del Valle 2025: La Luz de la Tierra Fructífera

Virgen del Valle 2025

Dear reader, at the start of each year, my sister Marta and I come together to dream and shape our Virgen del Valle—a creation we have lovingly crafted by hand for over a decade to honor our roots and our beloved Margarita Island.

This year, we chose to dress her in light—not the pure white light one might expect, but a light rich in shades and hues, like a prism reflecting the abundance of our land before the pearls.

Before Margarita was known for its pearled sea, it was already abundant and sacred. It was a place where the earth offered fruits, minerals, colors, and ancestral wisdom that nourished both body and spirit. That pre-Columbian, agricultural, and fertile essence is what we sought to capture in this year’s Virgin: the living light of a fruitful land.

Marta, as Director of Design and Production, led the artisanal work that brought this piece to life. Together, we selected each gemstone as if it were a fragment of the light that resides in our Island.

Adorning her mantle and intricate details are moonstone, iolite, green onyx, aquamarine, topaz, tanzanite, stavorite, green amethyst, kyanite, amethyst, carnelian, chalcedony, and citrine. Each one gleams like a spark of our history, reminding us that Margarita is far more than its shores—it is its land, its people, and its unbreakable spirit.

Virgen del Valle 2025 charm

To me, this Virgin is a mirror of our identity—joyful, vibrant, and deeply connected to the nature that raised us. It is a tribute to who we were before the pearls, and to all that we remain today, thanks to the light of our land.
